Endangered Species Report

Information Design - Massey University Wellington

Date: 2010

This report presents information on the native New Zealand bird Mohua (Yellowhead). Mohua are classed as a "nationally vulnerable" species, with of population of less than 5000 birds remaining (reference: NZ Department of Conservation).

This report was the first step in the process of designing a campaign to raise awareness and provide the public with information about the Mohua. The information collated in the report was then condensed into a map format, which had a dual function of providing visitors with information about Fiordland National Park walking tracks and campsites, while also raising awareness about the situation of Mohua.
